Alessio Di Lello was a famous composer in the 16th century. His works were first published in 1564 in Milan, but were later published in English manuscripts in Pistoia and Sacile Cathedrals. His compositions are still considered some of Italy’s most popular works, and include “Ol’Orfeo,” “Alfredo’s Funeral March,” and “La folla tutt’intorno.”

The duo partnered on the Napoli & Jazz CD, which features 12 world-renowned jazz musicians. The liner notes include words by jazz greats such as Ennio Morricone, Michael Legrand, and Diane Schuur.
