TVS Flame Twin-Spark, Price in India, TVS re-launches Flame Twin-Spark
TVS has finally got the go ahead to use the twin-plug and three valve CC-VTi technology. The 125 cc motorcycle will be sold as the TVS Flame DS 125. The special head design was developed with AVL of Austria and was under fire from Bajaj for using two spark plugs.
However, on closer scrutiny of the technology and design aspects of the CCVTi technology used on the Flame the Madras High Court found the twin-spark technology along with the three-valve head configuration to be distinctive from the two-valve, twin-spark configuration used by Bajaj Auto. The three valve configuration allows for optimisation of tumble and swirl characteristics of the air-flow into the cylinder for gains in torque and fuel efficiency over the rev-range.
Now with all the relevant clearances from the courts of law the Flame has hit the showrooms.
The DS Flame is priced at Rs 49,200 ex-showroom.
