Apart from ‘Vettaikkaran’ and ‘Theeradha Vilaiyattu Pillai’, one more film too has joined the Pongal race. And it is Lingusamy’s ‘Paiya’, starring Karthi Sivakumar and Tamannah in lead roles. If sources are to be believed, attempts are on to release the movie for the harvest festival, as the director hopes that his product would match the festival mood. “The film is being shaped up in a racy way,” they add.
Besides, rumours are agog in cinema circles that the film’s rights would be bagged by Udhayanidhi Stalin’s Red Giant Movies, whose latest venture ‘Aadhavan’, the Suriya starrer, is doing well in the box office.
On ‘Paiya’, Lingusamy says, “It is a travelogue kind of action adventure. Karthi starts a journey from Bangalore to Mumbai along with Tamannah. The hurdles they face during their trip and they overcome everything is Paiya to you.”
