She was mauled and the 200 pound chimp while trying to help the owner lure the animal back in to her house. Since the chimp attack victim was an employee of the owner of the chimp,the owner contentsthat her injuries should be considered a worker's comp claim. However, the chimp attack victim's family is suing the owner for $50 million.

Exotic animals have their place, and it is in the wild and in the zoo - not in a suburban neighborhood. Furthermore, biologists warned Connecticut state officials that Travis, the chimp responsible for the attack, was a danger.

Charla Nash, the chimp attack victim, lived 55 years of a normal life. Fortunately, she can't remember anything about the attack. Now, she will never be able to see again as doctors had to remove her eyes. She isn't able to help her daughter pick out a prom dress, and she won't be able to see her walk down the aisle or graduate. These things are worth far more than the $50 million that the chimp's owner is getting sued for.

Charla Nash revealed her face for the first time ever on Oparch  today. Today was her 56th birthday, and it's amazing that she even lived through the whole ordeal. Now, she relies on her brothers and her family for help. Although she wishes to be independent, being alone scares her.
