Google+ (Plus) New Social Networking : Features : Circles, Sparks, Huddle, Hangouts, Instant Upload

Google finally came out New social networking called Google+(pronounced Google Plus). This is the same social network project that Google has been denying repeatedly for quite some time.

The service, called Google+, looks similar to Facebook, with streaming updates of photos, messages, comments and other content from selected groups of friends, said Bradley Horowitz, vice president, product management. The service, which will integrate with Google’s maps and images, seeks to help people organize social contacts easily within groups of friends.

+Sparks are a feature that Google hopes will act as an icebreaker of sorts to inspire people to share with others. You select a set of interests and get a feed of content based by Google's new Sparks "sharing engine."

+Hangouts will become an online set of live communications tools for real-time chatting. It will incorporate live, multi-person video chatting for up to 10 people, as well as traditional instant messages.

+Mobile is a set of features for mobile sharing. Along with the announcement of this social project, Google also released a native app into the Android Market and has a mobile Web version of the service for iPhone. Integrating GPS, cameras, messaging and location, Google's mobile features will allow you – if you desire – to add your location to every post. Google also has another optional feature to instantly upload your photos as you snap them.

“Instead of coming directly at Facebook, which would be suicidal, I think they’ve recognized that they have to grow out from a niche -- and the niche here is people who want to be connected with a specific circle or a specific group,” Josh Bernoff, an analyst with Cambridge, Massachusetts-based Forrester Research Inc. “In that context this has a chance to be a small success.”

As Internet users spend more time on social-networking sites, Google is releasing new social features to lure Web surfers to its own services and expand advertising sales. Facebook, the world’s most popular social network, captured 13 percent of total hours people spent online in May, while Google attracted 10 percent, according to ComScore Inc.
