Cochin International Airport Limited planning to enter tourism sector, CIAL into tourism, CIAL new ventures, CIAL

In a novel project, the Cochin International Airport Limited (CIAL) is planning to enter into tourism sector, A decision in this regard was taken by its Board of Directors.
The project would be implemented with the help of selected group of tour operators, who have the credentials as well experience in this field, along with this an MoU would be signed with the CIAL.
The most attractive ''tourist friendly economic package'' would be provided to the customers under the new project.
In an all new attempt in tourism sector, financial assistance would be provided by the CIAL and once the service is being provided to the customers, the concerned tour operator would then get their share with a nominal percentage of reduction for the service.
The initial meeting was held at the CIAL conference hall yesterday which was attended by 35 tour operators.
The detailed discussion and official launching would be held on January 14 by Principal Tourism Secretary Dr V Venu, along with other dignitaries from the tourism industry.
The airport company is not aiming to compete with any tourist operators, instead it would help in increasing share of their business.
The Airport terminal would have a separate ''CIAL Tourist Desk'', which would be manned by the CIAL officials. In addition, the company would also launch a separate website for anyone who wish to land in God's own country and can have direct booking with CIAL.
CIAL already had a discussion with Maldives Health Minister and was expecting a increase in tourism sector in Cochin.
